And for that, they owe some thanks to 38-year-old TV star Alyssa Milano, best known for her roles in Who’s the Boss and Charmed. Milano, a fanatical baseball lover, holds a season ticket to the Los Angeles Dodgers games and counts herself a devoted follower of the Los Angeles Lakers and the Los Angeles Kings.

She helped sports leagues see the error of their ways four years ago, when she launched the Touch line of team-sports apparel, which includes jackets, tops and jeans specifically tailored to women.

Great news, Alyssa fans! Alyssa has been cast in the film “New Year’s Eve”.

Alyssa Milano has joined Garry Marshall’s romantic comedy “New Year’s Eve.” Production on the New Line pic starts this week.

Milano will play a nurse caring for an elderly patient who has nobody to spend New Year’s Eve with. Gotham-set movie will follow intertwining stories of characters trying to navigate their way through romance on the last night of the year.

Renee Zellweger and Alyssa Milano enjoyed a night out at Katsuya in Los Angeles last week. Renee’s beau Bradley Cooper also joined them for dinner.

Bradley recently opened up about his feelings for girlfriend Renee, insisting he “can’t say enough” about his superstar partner. The couple met on the set of movie thriller “Case 39″ in 2006, and they have been dating for more than a year.

Alyssa recently made headlines for criticizing Lindsay Lohan’s parents. The star insists early stardom doesn’t turn youngsters into wild things – bad parenting and poor judgment does.

A small news message about Alyssa’s new film “My Girlfriend’s Boyfriend”

The romantic comedy “My Girlfriend’s Boyfriend,” starring Alyssa Milano and Christopher Gorham, will get its U.S. premiere on WB Digital’s pay-per-view and VOD platforms and has been sold around the world by Opus Distribution.

Those deals and global sales on three other movies were announced by Ken DuBow, who founded Opus a year ago with private investment after working at MGM/UA, Modern Entertainment and elsewhere during the past 30 years.

Gearing up for another day of work, Alyssa Milano was spotted on the set of her Lifetime movie “Sundays at Tiffany’s” yesterday (September 23).

The “Who’s the Boss” actress looked comfortable in a pair of pajamas teamed with a pair of tan UGG boots as she made her way around the Toronto set. 

In related news, Alyssa is raising money for an orphanage in Haiti by offering to follow bidders on Twitter.

The auction listing states, “Alyssa Milano will follow you on Twitter for a minimum of 90 days, will retweet one of your tweets and will send out a tweet including your Twitter name. It will be at the celebrity’s discretion to continue following the winner beyond 90 days. Current bid is US$3550 “
